COOK SYSTEMS INTERNATIONAL has an IMMEDIATE need for a Software Development Manager

Responsible for managing Software Development projects/teams.

Manage all team activities and performance

Authorize work for development team resources

Manage scope, cost, schedule, and quality

Manage change control

Communicating status, issues, and escalations

Participation in service meetings

Preparing Status and Service Level Reports

Experience includes:

Some prior software/application development or coding experience (this job does not require any coding or programming however)

At least three years’ experience as a Software Development Team Manager or Leader

At least two years’ experience interviewing and selecting team resources

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Agile / Scrum SDLC approach experience highly preferred

Software maintenance experience (as opposed to only the design and development of new systems) highly preferred

Experience managing Java and/or web application development efforts highly preferred
