Job Title: Software Development Manager

Introduction: We are seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead our dynamic team in designing and developing a state-of-the-art cloud based SaaS application. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical acumen with hands-on experience in backend and frontend technologies and a proven track record of leading software development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of software developers and QA engineers, skilled in Java, Python, React, and Node.js in the development of our SaaS application.
• Manage the entire software development lifecycle including planning, design, development, deployment, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and operational teams to ensure that the software solution aligns with company goals, customer needs, and operational requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, encouraging best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability.
• Review and approve proposed development releases and manage the release process.
• Monitor technology trends and ensure the team is integrating new technology into the application architecture as appropriate.
• Ensure the creation of scalable, maintainable, and reliable high-quality software.
• Support the professional development of team members through coaching, performance management, and goal setting.
• Handle day-to-day administrative tasks such as reporting, team performance evaluations, and recruitment.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in software development and 3+ years in a leadership role managing technical teams.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Python, and familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as React and Node.js.
• Experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS, and understanding of SaaS application architecture.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.
• GIS experience will be a plus
• Demonstrated experience in the full software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead projects from concept to deployment.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills capable of motivating and guiding a team of developers.
• Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams and remote team member
