Summary
Responsibilities
Owning the quality of any deliverables, including new features and enhancements of the overall product delivery.
Work as an agile member of a part of the test team, running in short cycles to develop functional software in quick iterations.
Working closely with the product team to understand the requirements and user workflow.
Should work closely with peer QA folks/leads to streamline and continuously improve QA processes and standards across the org.
Use all your means to find the bugs in the software being developed by your team.
Developing and executing test plans and test cases. Log bugs of different types with reproduction steps or necessary detailing, and check if they got fixed; go on and approve the quality of the features in the software products.
Contributing to the build and support of a continuous integration (CI) environment, ongoing process improvement activities in terms of quality delivery, and automation plans for a possible project.
Assess the performance, security, exploratory, and UX aspects of the product apart from the functional aspects of the testing.
Raising defects/bugs and tracking them till closure in the test management tools, and the ability to adapt to the new tools as per the project-specific needs.
Requirements
2 years and above of Software Testing experience in Web application and Android/iPhone with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good understanding of agile software development methodology (Kanban or Scrum) and QA's role in it.
Should have experience in Manual Testing and SDLC process.
Working knowledge of Automated testing is advantageous.
Good knowledge of Devops and defect tracking tools like Azure, JIRA, AMC, and Bugzilla.
Knowledge of performance/load testing tools like Jmeter / LoadRunner / Gatling (optional).
Hands-on experience in UI testing as per the approved design.
Understanding of Web fundamentals (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Server Side Programming, and Database).
Emulator and simulator tools like Cross browser testing, Browserstack, Testing bots, or Lambda test.
Experience working in a SaaS-based product company (desirable).
Experience working for a bootstrapped high-growth start-up (optional).
