Key job responsibilities As a Software Development Engineer (SDE) within the Specialist Engineering team, you will design, engineer, and deliver software with considerable impact for AWS customers. We are looking for world class software development engineers to deliver software focused on helping jump start customer's cloud workloads. You will work with product management, customers, and your software development team to deliver software assets that drives industrial innovation on AWS. At Amazon, we hire software engineers who work efficiently, solve complex and ambiguous problems, and deliver new software with limited guidance. You will get to make technical and business trade-offs based on your understanding of the business impact of your systems. As a developer on our team, you'll own code end-to-end from design to development, and work closely with senior technical leaders within the team. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS * 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience * 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience * Experience programming with at least one software programming language PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience * Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
