Your Opportunity

Join Innovation Engineering as a Software Development Engineer and contribute to the development of customized test and industrial production equipment for the medical equipment domain. You will work in multidisciplinary teams with highly skilled technical experts to design, implement, test, and integrate machine control software for advanced motion control and precision measurement systems.


Your Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the software functional specification and technical concepts for test systems.
  • Collaborate with system architects, electrical and mechanical engineers, and commissioning technicians to align SW concepts.
  • Design, develop, document, test (automated), and deploy complex machine control software.
  • Implement software in accordance with architecture, functionality, and economic feasibility.
  • Develop standards for software, including program modules, security concepts, and control panels.
  • Perform calculations and time planning for SW commissioning and maintenance.
  • Identify and resolve software design flaws during integration and throughout the equipment lifecycle.
  • Execute SW integration and commissioning activities, ensuring seamless integration of test equipment.
  • Continuously improve the software development cycle.
  • Provide third-line software maintenance support as a technical expert.


Your Team

You will be part of the Mechatronics & Manufacturing Systems department at Innovation Engineering, responsible for customized test and production equipment in the healthcare domain. The Mechatronics Electrical Design, Control SW, and Measurement group specializes in electrical and software control for this equipment.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Experience in machine control software, preferably with Cordis Suite and Beckhoff PLC.
  • Familiarity with Tytrol software for test and industrial production equipment.
  • Experience in model-based software development (e.g., UML).
  • Knowledge of LabVIEW and C# is a plus.
  • Eager to learn and work with customized machine control platforms.
  • Experience in the medical industry and knowledge of healthcare production standards & regulatory requirements.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Willing to travel (up to 25%) and work at customer locations when required.
