Are you a curious for learning and gaining new knowledge Angular or Full-stack Developer ready to make global impact through meaningful technology? INSO is hiring a developer to join our international team in The Hague to design and build platforms that help keep humanitarian workers safe.

This role offers the chance to work on systems like the INSO Conflict & Humanitarian Data Centre and our new Partner Portal, where your code directly supports our mission in conflict-affected areas.

Java (Spring Boot) | Angular | TypeScript | REST APIs | MySQL | Solr | CouchDB | Docker | Kubernetes | Redis | OAuth 2.0 | Azure DevOps


🛠 What You’ll Do

  • Develop and maintain both frontend and backend solutions across INSO platforms
  • Contribute to data integration and digital tool development
  • Ensure our systems are secure, scalable, and user-focused
  • Develop automated pipelines and work with container orchestration
  • Collaborate closely with global teams in a fast-moving humanitarian context


What We’re Looking For

Required

✔ 2+ years of experience in Angular + some Java backend

✔ Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL, Docker, Kubernetes

✔ Comfortable with distributed systems & data security

✔ Fast learner with strong problem-solving skills

✔ Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field

✔ Fluent in English


Nice to Have

➕ Experience with Flutter

➕ VM server management, DNS

➕ Previous NGO/humanitarian experience


📄 Terms & Conditions

  • Fixed-term, full-time contract (renewable)
  • Based in The Hague, Netherlands
  • €4,800 gross/month
  • 8% vacation pay (vakantiegeld)
  • 2.5 days of annual leave per month
  • Basic Premium Health Insurance with ONVZ provided
  • You must have the right to live and work in the Netherlands
