The ideal candidate will automate deployment of multiple mission profiles across deployed communications platforms supporting Air Force warfighters deployed globally in support of real-world operations and exercises. The candidate will also automate system and configuration deployment across multiple platforms worldwide. The candidate will adapt customer software requirements into hardware, while enhancing interfaces and performance of the tools given to the customer. The candidate will be directly involved with system testing and validation while working through technical issues relating to software maintenance and operations. The candidate will also work with Information Assurance professionals to ensure systems are built in accordance with DoD guidance and directives and maintain RMF certification.
Producing top quality products for the customer is vital. Primary duties of the developer include, but are not limited to:
Collaborate with team members to determine the best practices and client requirements for software
Develop intuitive software that meets and exceeds the needs of the customer
Professionally maintain all software and create updates regularly to address customer concerns
Analyze and test programs and products before formal launch
Troubleshoot coding problems quickly and efficiently to ensure products remain in top quality
Actively seek ways to improve software processes and interactions
Aid and support the training of other team members to ensure all employees and the customer are confident in the use of the software applications
Investigating and developing skills in new technologies
Monitoring everyday activities of the system and providing support as needed
Having a flexible work attitude and adjusting to customer IT restrictions pertaining to development and deployment of application systems
Problem solving and having good communication skills – support requires interaction with customers, system administrators, and other supporting teams
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate
Ability to work with the customer and translate the customer’s needs and wants into a useful product
The ability to analyze code for weaknesses, errors, and vulnerabilities and present detailed plans to improve them
Required Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI Eligibility
5-8 years experience with
Automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications (e.g. experience with Kubernetes, Docker or a similar product)
Ansible, Python, Shell/Bash Scripting, git, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows Server, ESXi, vCenter
Computer networking and security concepts (DNS, routing, switching, client-server, firewalls, certificates, etc.)
Following and implementing best practices and secure baselines
Bachelor’s degree (or 4 years of commensurate experience)

Desired Qualifications:
Experience with DoD deployed communications
Experience with DoD NIPR, SIPR and JWICS Networks
DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II (Sec+CE, SSCP, CND, CCNA Security, etc)
