Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Developer to join our dynamic team. This progressive role offers a clear path to taking over key development responsibilities from our current Head of IT, enabling him to focus on research and strategic management. The successful candidate will work across a range of systems, including a long-established Excel-based add-in, as well as multiple APIs that integrate with our e-commerce platform (WooCommerce) and CRM (Zoho). All developed systems are tightly integrated with our ERP system, Horizon, ensuring smooth, end-to-end functionality.

Role Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update existing systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Develop new applications and features under the guidance of senior team members.
• Provide technical support on internal developed systems, ensuring smooth operation across the organisation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly and efficiently on internal developed systems.
• Collaborate with team members to plan and execute projects.
• Ensure all developed systems communicate effectively with our back-office system, Horizon.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in programming languages such as VB.net, C#, SQL, HTML, Python, and JavaScript.
• Experience with RESTful APIs to integrate third-party services and enhance platform functionality.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ideally, experience with Excel Add-in development.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Certifications in relevant technologies.

Experience:

• Extensive experience with .NET, SQL, C#, and VB.
• Proven track record of working with MS Office, particularly Excel Add-ins.
• Experience with RESTful APIs to facilitate integration between systems.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and work collaboratively within a team.
