Job Description

Perform moderately complex designs, analysis, development, modifications, and debugs software programs for databases, applications, and tools. Will perform release testing and interface with end-users to define requirements and complete technical documentation.

Essential Job Functions

Responsibility % of Time Performs product designs, system analysis, and programming activities on application solutions to meet specifications which may require research. 25% Performs moderately complex code reviews, bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products. Researches and evaluates problems discovered by QA or service requests and develops solutions to the problems. 25% Possess the ability to independently research and diagnose logic errors that are moderate in complexity and provide solutions. Possess the ability to diagnose and implement solutions that may exist between multiple application subsystems. 25% Mentors, trains and provides guidance to other employees. Researches new technology or development tools to remain informed of current technology. 15% Able to read, write, update and understand Linux shell, PowerShell scripts, or SQL queries 10% Regular and reliable attendance is required. Education

• Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in (but not limited to) Accounting, Business, Finance, Information Systems or equivalent education/experience.
  
  

Experience, Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• 4+ years of experience with systems/application development.
• Proficiency in Java, C#, Oracle PL/SQL or equivalent object-oriented programming language.
• Proficient with shell scripting and major operating systems (Unix, Linux, Windows).
• Full understanding of common development tools (Visual Studio, JDeveloper, Oracle Developer Suite, SQL Developer, etc.).
• Full understanding of data structure, algorithmic design and complexity analysis.
• IT knowledge in software development methodologies/processes, design, implementation and documentation.
• Experience working in an Agile environment utilizing Atlassian products.
• Ability to use a personal computer. Proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in a business environment.
  
  

Preferred

• Application functional knowledge to develop solutions and perform unit testing.
• .Net, Java, front end development (HTML, JavaScript, CSS) experience.
• Enterprise Application knowledge (Oracle E-Business Suite, Salesforce.com, Workday, etc.) and how to integrate them in an enterprise environment.
• Proficient with cloud-service integration and strategies.
• Understanding strategies for software optimization, performance analysis, and performance testing.
