The Software Developer is responsible for software development, maintenance, monitoring, problem resolution of development solutions with or within .NET, Relativity or other tools that relate to eDiscovery applications, databases and workflows. This role participates in Information Technology projects from inception of the project through the maintenance phase. The role involves a teamwork approach and close coordination with other departments across all levels of the organization to execute on the analyzing, writing, building and deployment of software with high quality development solutions.
Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities:
Responsible for the creation and maintenance of moderate to highly complex solutions (including data infrastructure, reporting, and applications) that address the informational and analytical needs of the various groups.
Responsible for all phases of the project lifecycle which include requirements gathering, solution design, application development, and system testing.
Analyze end user data needs and develop user-oriented solutions which interface with existing applications.
Maintain documentation for all work processes and procedures.
Make improvement suggestions and adhere to all approved work changes for the team.
Interact and partner effectively across all appropriate internal business teams.
Provide backup support for all work and project efforts as needed.
Assist with team planning and growth strategy.
Ensure execution of all industry InfoSec specific compliance matters within the team.
Participate in major upgrades to systems, platforms and/or software.
Participate or training on business functionality for system end users.
Test operation of completed programs, debug as needed.
Develop functional unit testing around developed applications for testing automation.
Additional Responsibilities/Details:
Works with minimal supervision and is responsible for making an established range of decisions, escalating to Manager when necessary and updating Manager on a regular basis
Adaptable and able to learn quickly and demonstrate a big picture approach when working onprojects.
Qualifications
Minimum Education Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field, or comparable business/technical experience.
Minimum Experience Requirements:
At least 4 - 7 years of experience of application development experience which includes: programming (database, system, and/or scripting) and working across complex data sets.
Front-end technology: Experience in front-end technologies (any): .Net ASP MVC, JavaScript, CSS3 and HTML5, web frameworks (ideally SPA) such as React or Angular
Experience with API integration.
Development languages: Knowledge of and e xperience with using Visual Studio and C# .Net writing server-side applications.
Database and cache: Familiarity with writing SQL queries, using database tables for persistence and connectivity to RDBMS technology such as MS SQL Server or Oracle. Ideally, also familiar with caching mechanisms such as Redis, Memcached or Varnish
Demonstrated ability to develop alternative solutions to complex problems and recommend the best solution to the business and project team.
Demonstrated advanced analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated mastery of test strategies and execution.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in server-side languages and RESTful API design/development
Solid understanding of database design/management, ideally also caching mechanisms
Some knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0 and JWT
Strong experience with both Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure and distributed systems
Other Requirements:
Experience with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Experience in eDiscovery Space is a plus.
Relativity / NUIX Platforms experience is a plus.
