Our Chicago based trading firm has an opportunity for a Software QA Automation Engineer. The incumbent will be joining a FCM firm focused on delivering and supporting cutting edge trading and analytic solutions for our clients. The candidate will be involved in testing all aspects of the RCG proprietary electronic trading platform including the front-end GUI, the backend order routing system, and various customer facing websites.
This position reports to the Development Manager and works with the agile development team to create comprehensive test procedures to ensure quality of RCG products.

Responsibilities
Develop test automation for a collection of internal desktop and web applications
Work with software development engineers to understand the overall technical architecture and how each feature is implemented
Ensuring the quality of deliverables by engaging in the full software testing process, using automated and manual testing techniques
Participate in project planning to provide input on functional requirements, usability requirements, testing strategies, testing time estimates and potential problems.
Contribute to tracking aspects of the project - scope, schedule, effort, risks, issues and including defects discovery tracking through resolution
Design & build manual and automated test scenarios by understanding the requirements
Create and generate status report based on automation results
Requirements:
2+ years of experience with developing automated browser based testing and UI Scripts using, Selenium Webdriver, Visual Studio, C#/.NET, Python, Perl, Ruby, MS SQL and other testing tools to routinely test software deployments and products
Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Tools (Jenkins, Docker, Ansible)
Experience working in an Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Development environment
Experience working in the financial industry will be a plus
Understanding of software development life cycle and release process
Local candidate (Illinois) and authorized to work in the United States
