Job description
The Software Asset Management (SAM) Analyst provides ongoing software management support as part of an IT Asset Management (ITAM) team. This role supports team members across the organization with software requests and orders while ensuring adherence to processes, strategies, and technologies that support the full lifecycle management of desktop software assets for corporate business units worldwide.
Responsibilities
* Perform daily operational processes for software management with minimal supervision.
* Support internal mailboxes and Service Now queues, assisting internal customers with software-related issues.
* Review software licenses and entitlements to ensure compliance when software requests are received
* Maintain accurate data in the software catalog as requests change or new products are added.
* Contribute to and enhance daily processes related to software asset management
* Collaborate with technical support teams to resolve license key and subscription-related inquiries.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners across operations, procurement, finance, and team member support to ensure smooth interdepartmental processes.
* Participate in and contribute to Software Asset Management projects.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
