The IT R&D Solutions Architect is responsible for developing new solutions for R&D IT applications that ensure that they align with the goals and objectives of R&D teams, enhance efficiency, maintain sustainability of the technology, and promote innovation. This role requires a strong collaboration between IT and R&D departments to drive the development and continuous improvement of applications using the latest technology that meet R&D requirements.
As the IT R&D Solutions Architect, some of your essential duties and responsibilities may include:
Ability to understand customer needs to develop long-term solutions
Provide technical expertise and support to R&D and to fellow technical staff
Assist MSP support model for R&D applications and related technology structure
Effectively prioritize activities in alignment with overall business objectives and the rest of the R&D IT team
Ensure change management processes are followed
Provide point-of-contact support for SaaS applications
Ability to work individually and as a team to meet deadlines and achieve results
Create/maintain standard operating procedures and training documents where needed
Research alternative technologies as replacement options for existing applications or as solutions to new needs
Execute work in as an individual contributor, as a manager of a vendor who is executing the work, or in combination

Experience with visualization tools (Power BI preferred)

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, information technology).
Proven experience in IT application ownership and development.
Strong project management skills.
