Summary

We are looking for a motivated, proactive mobile Software Architect with hands on experience to join our team. This person would join the experienced international team of architects and will work on further development of our Proximus+ application. The Proximus+ app simplifies your life by bringing together trustworthy partners tailored to your habits and needs.

Responsibilities

1.Hands-On Development

• Develop, optimize, and maintain production-grade code across:
• Mobile: React Native, Native iOS/Android / Web: React, Angular / Backend: Node.js /Low code: Mendix Mobile
• Write high-quality, well-tested code with unit tests to ensure reliability.
• Work across high-code (JavaScript/TypeScript) and low-code (Mendix Mobile) platforms.
• Troubleshoot and debug critical issues, ensuring optimal performance.
• Improve automation tools and CI/CD pipelines to streamline development.

2. Technical Leadership & Best Practices

• Guide and mentor developers, ensuring code quality and architectural consistency.
• Define and enforce best practices.
• Challenge inefficient solutions and drive technical improvements across teams.
• Conduct code reviews and architecture assessments to maintain high development standards.

3. Collaboration & Syncs

• Participate in daily syncs, app-specific syncs, go/no-go meetings, and technical deep dives.
• Join war rooms and handle urgent production issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Work closely with teams to align development efforts with business objectives.

4. Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Stay ahead of emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions.
• Help shape the overall app landscape, making it future-proof and scalable.
• Optimize and refactor legacy codebases to improve maintainability and performance.

Your Profile

• You are able to develop in high code (JavaScript / Typescript) - including unit testing
• You have experience working in React Native for 5+ years.
• You have experience working in Native IOS/Android for 5+ years.
• You have experience working in Mendix Mobile (Not Mendix Web) for 2+ years (preferred, as the entire application is built on Mendix).
• You have experience working in Web frontend technologies (Angular, React) and Node.js for 3+ years.
• You have experience with applications (mobile/web) with massive amounts of users (experience in performance improvement is a plus).
• You have pro-active approach.
• You are able to work independently
• You have good analytical skills
• You have excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
