As a Technical Salesforce Platform Architect, you will lead the design and implementation of scalable solutions on the Salesforce platform while overseeing multiple solutions within a Salesforce org. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in a scaled agile delivery setup, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles and best practices. Solution Design and Architecture: Lead the design and architecture of complex solutions on the Salesforce platform, leveraging design thinking methodologies to address business requirements effectively. Define architectural standards, patterns, and best practices for Salesforce development in alignment with enterprise architecture principles. Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and comply with industry regulations in the commercial insurance domain. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, promoting DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for efficient delivery. Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritise features and enhancements, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives. Mentored and coached team members on Salesforce development, DevOps, and enterprise architecture concepts. Integration and Data Management: Design and implement API integrations with external systems, leveraging Azure services and other technologies as needed. Architects data streaming solutions for real-time analytics and insights, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security. Collaborate with data architects to define data models and ensure proper data governance practices within the Salesforce Org. Scaled Agile Delivery: Work within a scaled agile framework, participating in program increment planning, backlog grooming, and sprint ceremonies. Facilitate collaboration between agile teams, resolving dependencies and ensuring alignment with the overall program roadmap. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery processes and optimise team performance. Salesforce Org Oversight: Oversee multiple solutions within the Salesforce org, ensuring cohesiveness, scalability, and maintainability across different business units. Conduct regular reviews and audits of Salesforce configurations, identifying opportunities for optimisation and enhancement. Partner with Salesforce administrators to establish governance policies, security controls, and release management processes. You will report to the Head of Digital Factory Delivery. SHARE your talent SHARE your talent We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Required Skills and Abilities: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a Salesforce Technical Architect in enterprise environments, preferably within the commercial insurance industry. Extensive experience in delivering solutions on Salesforce including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Financial Services Cloud. Effective knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities, including design thinking methodologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines. Desired Skills and Abilities: Hands-on experience with Azure services, API integration, and data streaming technologies. Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman. Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills. Salesforce certifications such as Certified Technical Architect (CTA) and Certified Application Architect are a plus. Experience working in scaled agile delivery setups, preferably SAFe. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Proven tech leader and mentor, able and willing to share knowledge and experience in order to develop colleagues. Effective communication and collaboration skills.
