Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Software Applications Test Engineer:
- Testing and evaluation of software-intensive systems in various test environments
- Active participation in an agile development process
- Conducting post-processing and analysis of collected data
- Development of action plans based on data analysis
- Documenting software deficiency reports and presenting analysis results
- Occasional travel between our client's locations in Colorado Springs and Huntsville, AL
Required Skills for Software Applications Test Engineer:
- Prior experience in an agile development process and software applications/systems testing
- Proficiency in data analysis and action plan development
- Strong verbal/written communication skills
- Security+ certification or similar, required within 60 days of starting (highly preferred at start)
- Experience in a DevSecOps environment is highly desirable
- U.S. Citizenship, due to security clearance and government/federal contracts
Education:
- Technical Bachelor's Degree (Mathematics, Science, Engineering, or Computer Science) or significant professional experience
- Master's degree is highly desired
- 5-9 years of experience
