The Soft Services Coordinator is responsible for the overall support of both Soft Services Managers for Custodial, Cleanroom, Landscaping, Waste Removal, Pest Control, & Golf Carts.
Soft Services Coordinator is responsible for the non-technical aspects of facility management, ensuring a clean, safe, and functional environment for occupants and the facility itself. This role focuses on managing vendors, coordinating services, and implementing operational strategies to maintain a high standard of service quality.
The Soft Services Coordinator will also work with other managers to ensure efficient utilization and accountability for space and facilities based on needs, space limitations, and cost considerations. Facility services relate to new construction, remodeling, building maintenance, and rearrangement, including assuring compliance with all applicable codes, rules, regulations, laws, and Company standards. Work requires knowledge of cost estimating, planning and scheduling techniques.
- Prioritizes work based on the needs of the client and for the on-time completion of all work, as well as all documentation involved
- Ensures all subcontractors receive required training to perform the subcontracted services in accordance will all Amentum and client safety rules, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Scheduling, planning, documentation, performance and reporting with Amentum management team and client.
- Ensures soft services are run efficiently, maintains good customer relationships, and inspects plant facilities or reviews inspection reports, to determine repairs, replacement, or improvements required.
- Clearly understands Amentum scope of work and contract requirements for the area of responsibility.
- Supports Amentum management as the designated Amentum agent for all soft services discussions and reports to client.
- Compiles, maintains, and presents various reports to Amentum management and client teams.
- Coordinates activities of personnel involved in repair and maintenance of facilities, buildings, and equipment to minimize interruption and improve efficiency.
- Prepares related reports and audits current procedures to monitor efficiency of operations.
- Evaluates proposals and bids for various design, contracting, and follow-on services as required.
- Ensures employee conformance to established practices
- Responsible for the enforcement of company security/safety policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
- Helps oversees day-to-day soft services operations of client’s buildings and facilities.
- Communication and Collaboration:
Effectively communicating with clients, service providers, and other internal departments to ensure smooth operations
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred:
- Previous Coordinator experience, construction services for facilities, utilities, or infrastructure. or related field
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites with emphasis on the ability to navigate and
formulate within Excel and Access.
- General working knowledge of industrial facility maintenance in a manufacturing
environment.
- Experience utilizing a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Good communications and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems
and integrated software application programs is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.
- Some tasks will require the ability to walk extensively throughout facilities during a
workday.
- Requires the ability to climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs as
needed during a
- workday.
- Requires the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat, kneel, reach/stretch, and move in a 90-
degree fashion during workday.
- Requires the ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.
- Requires ability to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents
or displayed on a computer screen.
- Requires ability to use a variety of office equipment and to operate a computer keyboard
to access data bases, to send/receive messages and to prepare documents.
- Requires ability to attend meetings throughout the site and potentially travel to other
Amentum, customer and/or vendor locations in the area, as well as some air travel to
more distant locations.
- Requires the ability to communicate with others on the telephone and in one-on-one or
group discussions, meetings, and presentations.
- Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line.
- Requires some moving of light to medium weight materials into desks, filing cabinets and
other storage locations.
- Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner
despite periods of stress.
Special Requirements:
- Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal
Protective Equipment as needed.
- Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work
environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are
maintained.

- Desk and Field Work both required
- Must be willing to work overtime when required.
