Marketing & Social Media Lead

(Full-time | Based in West Bengal | Language: Bengali & English fluency required)

About the Role

We are looking for a sharp, creative, and mission-driven individual to lead the marketing and digital outreach efforts for a high-impact, government-backed citizen engagement platform operating in West Bengal.

In this hybrid role, you will:

• Design and lead the content and engagement strategy
• Drive daily execution across all social media platforms
• Work closely with internal teams and on-ground staff to source real-life stories of impact
• Own visibility, engagement, and perception-building for one of the most meaningful public platforms in the state

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and execute a content strategy focused on amplifying citizen voices and institutional responsiveness
• Plan weekly/monthly content calendars aligned with on-ground events and data insights
• Coordinate with call center teams, field staff, and research units to identify compelling stories

Social Media Management

• Manage all platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X) end-to-end
• Schedule and publish content daily
• Track and analyze performance metrics to drive data-informed decisions
• Respond to public queries, curate comments, and build engagement loops

Content Oversight

• Collaborate with designers, video editors, and writers to create reels, graphics, and narratives in Bengali and English
• Ensure consistency of tone and alignment with campaign goals
• Identify opportunities to localize or personalize content for different districts or demographics

Data-Driven Insights

• Share weekly performance updates with internal stakeholders
• Suggest content pivots based on platform performance and citizen response

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or storytelling
• Strong communication and writing skills in both Bengali and English
• Familiarity with Canva, CapCut, VN, or Adobe tools
• Experience in managing digital campaigns with measurable impact
• Empathy-driven communicator with an understanding of citizen issues and grassroots dynamics
• Leadership qualities with the ability to multitask and manage junior contributors

Location

Position is based in Kolkota, West Bengal. Occasional travel within the state may be required.
