Role Overview: We are seeking a Social Media Manager (mid-level) with a talent for crafting engaging content and growing online communities. In this on-site role in Bengaluru, you will be the voice of our clients’ brands on social channels, creating and executing social media strategies that spark conversations and build loyalty. Key Responsibilities
- Social Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement result-driven social media strategies for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube. Tailor plans to each platform to increase brand awareness, follower growth and engagement.
- Content Creation & Curation: Work with our content creators and designers to produce high-quality, eye-catching posts (graphics, Reels/videos, blogs). Maintain a content calendar ensuring a consistent brand voice and storytelling style across all channels.
- Community Management: Engage daily with followers – respond to comments and messages, foster discussions, and build relationships with the audience. Proactively interact in relevant communities/groups to amplify brand presence.
- Campaigns & Initiatives: Launch and manage social media campaigns, contests, or hashtag challenges that drive user participation. Collaborate with the performance marketing team to integrate organic and paid social campaigns for maximum impact.
- Analytics & Optimization: Monitor social media metrics and user feedback. Track KPIs like engagement rate, reach, and click-through rates; use social listening tools and analytics to glean insights. Adjust content strategy based on what’s working, and prepare monthly performance reports.
- Trend Spotting: Stay on top of the latest social media trends, viral content, and platform updates (from Instagram algorithm changes to the newest LinkedIn features). Bring fresh ideas to the table and experiment with new content formats or strategies to keep channels vibrant and cutting-edge.
- Brand Advocacy: Ensure all content and interactions align with the client’s brand values and voice. Act as a brand storyteller, conveying our clients’ missions in an authentic, relatable way. Identify and engage potential influencers or partners in the industry to expand reach.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Engagement Rate: Active engagement on posts (likes, comments, shares) indicating resonating content and community interaction.
- Follower Growth & Reach: Steady increase in followers/subscribers and the overall reach/impressions of content across platforms.
- Content Frequency & Consistency: Regular posting as per content calendar, maintaining consistent brand messaging and quality.
- Traffic & Conversions from Social: Click-through rates on social posts, and traffic driven to websites or landing pages (measured via Google Analytics UTM data); conversions or leads generated via social campaigns.
- Response Time & Customer Sentiment: Timely responses to audience queries/comments and positive sentiment/feedback from the community, reflecting strong relationship management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in social media management or digital marketing, handling multi-platform social campaigns. Proven track record of growing an online community and delivering engagement. (Mid-level role)
- Content Savvy: Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to craft witty, clear, and on-brand captions. Strong eye for design and familiarity with basic graphic or video editing tools to guide content creation. Experience in creating content for the EdTech domain or other knowledge-driven sectors is a plus.
- Strategic & Analytical Mindset: Deep understanding of social media metrics and tools (e.g., Facebook Insights, Instagram Analytics, Twitter Analytics, LinkedIn Analytics, or third-party tools like Hootsuite, Buffer). Ability to derive actionable insights from data and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Communication & People Skills: Stellar communication skills for engaging with online audiences and coordinating with internal teams. Experience in handling customer queries or reputation management on social platforms. A team player who can work closely with creatives, clients and other marketers.
- Platform Proficiency: Up-to-date knowledge of features and best practices on all major social platforms. Hands-on experience with social media management tools for scheduling and monitoring is expected. Bonus if you have managed paid social ads or boosted posts and understand how paid and organic efforts complement each other.
- Creative and Trend-Conscious: A creative thinker who can brainstorm campaign ideas and quickly adapt to internet culture trends and memes (with good judgment on brand fit). Passionate about storytelling and creating an emotional connection between brands and audiences.
