Job Summary:


We are seeking a dedicated and talented Assistant Community Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in building and nurturing strong relationships with our online community, driving engagement, and amplifying our brand's presence across social media platforms.


As a member of the Social team, you will collaborate with our Social Media Manager and report directly to our Social Media Director.


HYBRID: This role is classified as exempt from the Fair Labor Standard Act’s overtime requirement, and is open to candidates based in the Los Angeles, CA. While the position is primarily remote, it follows a hybrid schedule requiring occasional in-person work at Culver City, CA 90230. The role requires working in PST hours, so candidates located on the West Coast are preferred. A reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace free from significant distractions are essential for remote work.


What You’ll Do:


Essential Job Functions

Community Engagement Support:

  • Own and support the implementation of strategies for community engagement across social and digital platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.), working under the guidance of the Social Media Manager and Director.
  • Apply ONE/SIZE's brand voice and tone to ensure consistent, authentic, and engaging communication, maintaining an "always-on" approach to community interaction.
  • Help implement engagement guidelines for internal teams and external collaborators to ensure consistency in communication with our community.


Content and Community Growth:

  • Post engaging content on social channel(s). Exact channel is subject to change.
  • Engage daily with culturally relevant content, incorporating brand messaging into key conversations across social platforms.
  • Assist in curating and creating content that resonates with the community while showcasing our products, values, and mission.
  • Collaborate with digital, customer service, sales, and product development teams to support brand initiatives and community engagement.
  • Manage day-to-day social media conversations, from regular engagement to responding to inquiries and feedback, ensuring excellent customer experience.
  • Research and report on emerging content trends, tools, and services to help keep ONE/SIZE ahead of the curve.


Customer Service & Sentiment Analysis:

  • Provide online customer support for social-related inquiries, delivering timely and empathetic responses to consumer questions and needs.
  • Help monitor consumer sentiment and contribute to regular sentiment analysis to identify engagement opportunities and track brand health.
  • Relay community feedback to appropriate internal teams for consideration in future campaigns or product development.


Reporting and Insights:

  • Assist in tracking and measuring community engagement metrics, social sentiment, and campaign performance.
  • Generate regular reports on community activities and insights to help refine strategies.


Non-Essential Job Functions

  • Assist with special projects or initiatives as needed to support departmental goals.
  • Provide backup coverage for team members during absences or peak workload periods.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in social media and community engagement roles.
  • Beauty industry knowledge required, with understanding of beauty consumer behavior.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (preferred).
  • Social media savvy with experience managing social channels and engaging with online communities.
  • Good understanding of social voice and tone across different platforms and audiences.
  • Strong communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving abilities with a solutions-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment.
  • Well-organized with good time management skills to handle multiple priorities.
  • Team player with a positive, adaptable attitude and willingness to learn.


Team Leadership & Oversight

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


Physical Requirements

This role requires the following physical capabilities:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, twist, and squat to adjust or position equipment, cameras, or set up for events.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, often time-sensitive environment.
