Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Security Operator to join us in Bangalore, supporting a global banking client as part of an established (physical security) GSOC.


This role will involve the operation and monitoring of all systems within the SOC in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring integrity, accuracy and confidentiality of all information, and providing efficient support to the SOC Supervisor and Manager.


Responsibilities:

  • Monitor security systems, CCTV cameras, access control systems, and other technologies to detect and respond to security incidents in real-time.
  • Promptly assess and escalate security threats, emergencies, and incidents to the appropriate personnel and teams.
  • Follow established protocols and procedures to manage security incidents, coordinating with on-site personnel, law enforcement, and third-party vendors as needed.
  • Document all incidents, actions taken, and outcomes in a detailed and accurate manner.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with team members, management, and external partners to provide updates on ongoing incidents and ensure smooth transitions between shifts.
  • Assist in conducting regular security checks of facilities and equipment, identifying and reporting any anomalies or vulnerabilities and participate in all security audits.
  • Participate in training programs to maintain and enhance knowledge of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and technology updates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review security processes and recommend improvements based on observed trends and incident analyses.
  • Support the SOC Supervisor, Lead and other team members in various tasks related to security operations.
  • Stay informed about global security trends, emerging threats, and best practices in security management.


Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in a Security Operations Centre team
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of incident management, problem management and change management best practices.
  • Superior communication skills and ability to brief senior management team.
  • Knowledge in various access control and CCTV operating system
  • Lenel based professional certifications highly desirable (LCA/LCP/LCE)
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work under little to no direct supervision in high pressure environments.
  • Able to work in a team environment.
  • Able to multitask and manage detail-oriented tasks.
  • Able to discern patterns and trends in a logical fashion.
  • Able to make sound decisions in a timely manner during crisis situations.
  • Able to manage and protect highly confidential and proprietary information.
