We are seeking a skilled and motivated Configuration Engineer to join our team, responsible for defining and maintaining the product structure for our thermal Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) products. The configuration engineer will act as a critical liaison between Engineering and Order Fulfillment teams to ensure the smooth integration of product designs into the manufacturing and delivery process. This role will involve the creation and maintenance of key tool configurations and documentations that enable streamlined operations, including the E-Matrix, Auto BOM Generator, and Variant Configurator.
Key Responsibilities:
* Define, manage, and maintain the product structure for thermal ALD products.
* Serve as a key liaison between Engineering and Order Fulfillment to ensure accurate product configuration.
* Develop and maintain the E-Matrix, Auto BOM Generator, and Variant Configurator to optimize the configuration process.
* Manage and update order specification form (OSF) templates and sales configurator to ensure order accuracy and consistency.
* Proactively manage cut-in plans for Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP) and Obsolescence/End of Life (OBS/EOL) for future and current systems.
* Improve product offering commonality, reducing complexity and optimizing BOM structures.
* Minimize configuration errors and ensure timely BOM releases by maintaining an up-to-date and error-free product structure.
* Promote cross-functional communication and foster a collaborative work environment between the PLE team and other stakeholders across the company.
* Ensure all processes and products meet relevant standards and comply with quality assurance procedures.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering preferred).
* Experience in product line engineering, preferably within semiconductor equipment or a related high-tech industry.
* Strong understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) structures, configuration management, and product lifecycle management.
* Proficiency in tools such as E-Matrix, Auto BOM Generator, and Variant Configurator.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on optimizing workflows and minimizing errors.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across different teams and departments.
* Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Knowledge of industry standards and quality assurance procedures related to product development.
