Job Summary
The Mass General Brigham Digital Data Platform team is seeking a SnowFlake Admin.This role will employ deep technical expertise in SnowFlake to implement and support the Cloud EDW platform and related technology solutions.This will require working collaboratively in an Agile operating environment alongside fellow Data Platform teams as well as other technical and non-technical teams across Mass General Brigham.
The Snowflake Adminshould excel and provide critical expertise in several key operations areas but also be willing to grow and contribute in an Agile environment to ensure consistent delivery and support to th Cloud EDW and overall Cloud Data Platform.

Department Summary
The Snowflake Platform Admin will be part of the Mass General Brigham Digital Data Platform Team. This team comprises groups focused on platform architecture and administration, data architecture, data engineering, data governance, and end-user support. We collaborate with other MGB teams to design, develop, validate, maintain, and support the MGB Digital Platform and various analytic data assets and products.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Computer Science required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required
- Experience can be considered and reviewed in lieu of a degree
- Related experience in programming, data engineering, and/or building cloud technologies and architecture 5-7 years required
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Proven experience as a Snowflake Architect or similar role, with hands-on experience in architecting and implementing data solutions on the Snowflake cloud data platform.
- Experience in administering and supporting Snowflake
- Possesses strong hands-on experience with SQL and 5+ years of experience with data warehouse and analytics architecture
- 3+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience in development, modeling, and architecture.
- Experience with Python programming skill.
- Proven understanding of traditional analytics projects, such as data warehouses, data lakes, master data management, system integrations, etc.
- Excellent understanding of Snowflake Internals and integration of Snowflake with other data processing technologies(DBT).
- Experience in Platform Security Administration and OKTA Integration
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with both technical and non-technical teams
- Strong attention to detail, well organized, problem solver and able to set priorities
- Proficient in various cloud technologies, including virtualization, containerization, and orchestration technologies.
- Strong analytical skills to identify patterns and insights from cloud-based infrastructure and system performance data.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with other members.
- Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Certification with Snowflake
- Programming skill in Python
- Experience working in environments where Agile, Scrum, DevOps and Production support practices are used
- Ability to learn new technology and build repeatable solutions/processes
- Ability to anticipate project roadblocks and have mitigation plans in-hand
- Knowledge and experience working with relational databases for data querying.

- This position is Hybrid Onsite Flexible weekly and/or monthly onsite required to equal 4 or more days per month onsite
- Must be open for department and business meetings needs onsite

- The noise level on-site in the work environment is quiet to moderate
- This position may require occasional local travel to Mass General Brigham sites, vendors, and/or conferences
