Role Overview

We’re looking for a passionate and capable Smart Home Integrator & AV Programmer to join our innovative team. Whether you're an experienced integrator with years in the field or someone who's only recently begun exploring smart home automation but has a real passion for it — we encourage you to apply. The only essential requirement is hands-on experience programming at least one control system in predominantly residential environments.

Strong networking experience is an absolute must. You should be confident in managing WiFi networks, configuring Layer 2 and Layer 3 managed switches, setting up VLANs, and working with features used in video over IP environments. Experience with Araknis products is highly regarded.

You will be responsible for the programming and commissioning of smart home systems, collaborating closely with our technical team to ensure smooth integration of control, AV, lighting, climate, security, and more.

Key Responsibilities

• Program and commission smart home and AV control systems — including but not limited to Elan/Nice, Control4, Crestron, Savant, KNX, RTI (brand experience isn’t critical as long as you have solid control system programming experience).
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot IP networks — especially WiFi systems, Layer 2 & 3 switches, VLANs, and video-over-IP setups.
• Integrate a wide range of residential technologies such as:
• AV receivers, source devices, and distribution systems
• KNX/CBus/Dynalite/Lutron lighting systems
• HVAC gateways
• High-end cinema equipment
• CCTV surveillance systems
• Conduct testing and commissioning of systems on-site, ensuring polished and reliable performance.
• Collaborate with designers, electricians, and other integrators to ensure quality outcomes.
• Document programming processes, network configurations, and user instructions.
• Support post-installation troubleshooting and ongoing service.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience programming smart home or AV control systems in residential environments.
• Demonstrated confidence with network setup, including:
• WiFi network management
• Layer 2 & Layer 3 managed switches
• VLAN configuration and diagnostics
• Sound understanding of AV signal flow and automation logic.
• Experience integrating residential systems such as AV receivers, media sources, lighting control systems (e.g., KNX, CBus, Dynalite, Lutron), CCTV, HVAC interfaces, and more.
• Logical thinker with strong troubleshooting and programming abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality delivery.

Desirable Qualifications

• Certification from CEDIA and/or any control or lighting control system platform.
• Relevant network certifications such as:
• PCNA – especially valuable for Araknis systems
• CCNA
• CompTIA Network+
• Background in electronics or electrical systems (e.g., A-Grade Electrician certification is a plus).
• Familiarity with luxury AV environments, home cinema, or specialist residential technologies.
