Description: Buck Hill Ski and Snowboard Area is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Ski Instructors to join our team for the upcoming winter season. As a Ski Instructor, you will play a key role in providing exceptional skiing instruction to guests of all ages and skill levels, ensuring they have a safe, enjoyable, and educational experience on the slopes. Responsibilities Instruction: Provide ski instruction to individuals and groups, ranging from beginners to advanced skiers. Tailor teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and skill levels. Demonstrate and teach proper skiing techniques, safety protocols, and slope etiquette. Student Assessment: Assess students' skiing abilities and progress throughout lessons. Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help students improve. Ensure students are appropriately grouped based on their skill levels. Safety and Supervision: Promote and enforce safe skiing practices. Monitor students on the slopes to ensure their safety and adherence to ski area rules. Address any safety concerns promptly and effectively. Customer Service: Maintain a positive and friendly attitude while interacting with guests. Answer questions and provide information about Buck Hill's facilities and services. Handle guest concerns and feedback professionally. Seasonal positions allow for up to 40 hours a week! Requirements: Experience: Previous experience in ski instruction or a strong skiing background is preferred. Knowledge of skiing techniques and safety practices. Certifications: PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America) certification is a plus but not required. Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience and the ability to work well with children and adults. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Physical Requirements: Ability to ski for extended periods and in various weather conditions. Physical stamina to assist students with equipment and participate in on-slope activities.
