Site Reliability Engineer - Onsite

What You’ll Do

• Work within a team of Platform and Site Reliability Engineers to ensure high availability and reliability of critical systems
• Develop and maintain monitoring, incident management, and troubleshooting processes
• Utilise observability tools to gain insights into system performance and drive improvements
• Design and implement automation tools and processes to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime
• Participate in on-call rotations to address high-severity incidents and ensure system availability
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications are designed for scalability and reliability
• Contribute to the design and implementation of new systems and services, ensuring they meet reliability and scalability requirements
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in SRE and infrastructure

What They’re Looking For

• Extensive experience in large-scale distributed systems architecture
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) and modern deployment strategies
• Experience operating web-scale deployments of containerised systems (Kubernetes, Amazon Container Services)
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python preferred, though not required)
• Passion for designing scalable systems with well-structured interfaces• Strong problem-solving skills with a keen focus on identifying and resolving root causes
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams
• Knowledge of security and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2, GDPR, DORA) is a plus
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese is a bonus

Flexible Work Environment

While this role requires four days per week in the office, our client understands that flexibility is key. There is operational flexibility around working hours, and if additional home working days are occasionally required, these will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
