SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises Site Supervisors and/or volunteers as assigned.
SUMMARY
The Site Monitor is responsible for nutrition programs At-Risk Afterschool (ARA) and Summer Food Services Program (SFSP) site operations, including working with all sites to increase program effectiveness, assure compliance with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulations, and ensure that staff meets established timelines.
Assist in the fulfillment of the Agency's vision, "A strong Fresno County where people have the resources to shape their future free from poverty."
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Supervises site supervisors and/or volunteers for the At-Risk Afterschool and Summer Food Services Meal Programs.
Completes ARA and SFSP annual mandatory trainings.
Follows nutrition programs, ARA and SFSP guidelines and regulations.
Performs site monitoring to ensure compliance with nutrition programs rules and regulation in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and California Department of Education (CDE). .
Travels in personal vehicle to monitor sites.
Observes meal services from start to end and completes Site Monitoring Reports.
Assists and trains site supervisors, volunteers and interns in program guidelines to ensure compliance.
Coordinates with meal programs sites and assists in community outreach efforts.
Ensures that meal orders are received in accurate and timely fashion; adjusts meal orders as needed.
Maintains accuracy of daily and weekly reports.
Completes monthly audits of site paperwork.
Completes required Data Forms for each program, ARA and SFSP .Interacts with children in a professional and appropriate manner.
Submits timesheet accurately and timely.
Wears protective shoes and clothing.
Completes training course and maintains familiarity with the Employee Handbook.
Adheres to all Fresno EOC Personnel Policies and Procedures.
Travels for agency business using reliable transportation.
Maintains regular attendance and punctuality.
Works evenings and weekends as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:
* High school diploma or GED.
* Completions of college courses in Nutrition or a related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
* One year related work experience in nutrition or food production required.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess and maintain Food Handlers card or obtain within thirty (30) days of employment.
Familiar with public health regulations.
Ability to read and comprehend procedures, calculate arithmetic and complete forms, required.
Willing to work non-traditional hours and days to meet the needs of this position.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and related business software used to maintain accurate records, required.
Effective communication and organizational skills.
Maintain a valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, adequate auto insurance as required by State law, and insurability by agency carrier for those driving agency vehicles.
