About the Role

My client is looking for an experienced Site Managers with a civils or utilities background to oversee the delivery of EV charging infrastructure projects across the South of England.

This role is field-based and requires frequent travel across the region with regular overnight stays (accommodation and expenses fully covered). You’ll be managing multiple sites concurrently, ensuring safe, high-quality delivery and acting as the on-the-ground lead for each project.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the green energy transition while working on technically engaging, high-visibility infrastructure projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Site Setup & Mobilisation: Ensure sites are properly set up, including crew inductions and job briefings.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee 2–3 active sites at a time, ensuring works are delivered to spec, safely, and on schedule.
  • Travel & Coordination: Travel across the South of England as needed. Overnight stays (per week) will be required and fully expensed.
  • Communication: Maintain daily contact with site teams and contractors, even when not physically present.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve challenges to keep projects on track.


What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in Civils or Utilities Projects: Ideally with EV infrastructure exposure, though backgrounds in highways, cabling, streetworks, or other utilities are also relevant.
  • Independent & Proactive Approach: Able to lead and deliver across multiple remote sites with limited supervision.
  • Qualifications (Preferred): SMSTS, Streetworks (NRSWA), SHEA, CSCS – although attitude, safety mindset, and practical knowledge are key.
  • Flexibility to Travel: Based in the South of England with willingness to travel and stay away from home when required.
