Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will ensure the overall control of setting out the works, quality, and accuracy in accordance with our company management system and associated quality assurance systems and contract requirements. You will play a key role in maintaining the highest health and safety standards, delivering works economically and in accordance with the programme.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policy, the company management system, and the Sustainability Strategy.
  • Organise and control the site engineering function to ensure accurate setting out and construction in line with contract requirements.
  • Assist in developing the site-specific quality plan and ensure compliance with quality assurance testing and inspection records.
  • Act as site safety supervisor, temporary works coordinator, and Lifting operations coordinator as required.
  • Provide accurate measurement of all work carried out and maintain as-built records.
  • Liaise with colleagues, consultants, and the supply chain to ensure smooth project progress and resolve any technical issues.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Essential: Relevant Degree/HNC in Construction or Built Environment, experience in engineering on small to medium-sized projects, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experienced use of AutoCad and robotic total station.
  • Desirable: Managing Lifting Operations, SMSTS/SSTS and CSCS card, Temporary Works Coordinator, NRASWA Supervisor, First Aid, Fire Warden, Contractual Awareness, Basic Scaffold Inspection, LSS/Other software packages.


Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong ability to analyse and interpret design and manufacturing information.
  • Proficiency in using total station survey equipment and computer-aided survey systems.
  • Ability to undertake accurate and detailed land surveys and use AutoCAD for basic as-built surveys.
  • Excellent IT skills and knowledge of standards and legal requirements.
