As our business looks to deliver its ambitious strategy of growth, we are looking for a Assistant Engineer to join our Engineering Team for our Atlas Point location. What You’ll Be Doing

Document Management

  • Develop and maintain document control systems to ensure proper filing, retrieval, and security of documents.
  • Implement document management policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Oversee version control and document revisions to maintain accuracy and prevent duplication.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure documents are properly labeled, categorized, and stored.
  • Train employees on document control procedures and best practices.

CAD Administration

  • Manage and maintain CAD software, ensuring proper licensing, updates, and system performance.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for CAD users.
  • Develop and enforce CAD standards, templates, and best practices for design teams.
  • Facilitate integration between CAD and other enterprise systems, such as document management or ERP software.
  • Oversee the storage, retrieval, and organization of CAD files, ensuring adherence to company standards.
  • Assist in the training and onboarding of new CAD users.

Collaboration & Compliance

  • Work closely with engineers, designers, and project managers to streamline workflows.
  • Ensure all documentation and CAD drawings comply with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor data security and backup processes for CAD files and documentation.
  • Coordinate with IT teams to address hardware and software-related issues.
  • Individual performs other duties as assigned.

Who We’re Looking For

Education & Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in document management and CAD administration.
  • Experience in industries such as engineering, construction, architecture, or manufacturing is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or other CAD software.
  • Experience with document management systems (DMS) like SharePoint, OpenText, or Documentum.
  • Knowledge of file versioning, security protocols, and data management best practices.
  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure related to CAD and document management.

Soft Skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to ensure accuracy in documentation.
  • Effective communication skills to train users and collaborate with teams.
  • Problem-solving mindset for troubleshooting CAD and document management issues.

Work Environment

  • Communicate internally with other departments, off site discipline managers/engineers and externally with contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
  • Occasional travel may be needed for training or system implementation
