Job Description
Title: Site Continuous Improvement (Riverside)
Position: Full Time | Non-Exempt
Location: Riverside
Manager: No
Reports to: Operations Manager
- Monday- Friday 8-5pm (Flexible 8 hr. shift) $25/hr-$30/hr. D.E.O*******
Summary Of Role
Lead and implement continuous improvement (CI) culture throughout the organization while being responsible for the identification, prioritization, and implementation of CI projects and training. Develop sustainable improvements through engagement of a team- based servant leadership approach, strong technical knowledge, and proper use of continuous improvement tools.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other Duties May Be Assigned)
- Responsible always for promoting a safety culture and safety awareness within their area of responsibility.
- Assist in production operations to drive improvement in manufacturing efficiencies by the implementation of continuous improvement techniques.
- Monitor and update Lean Portal as required.
- Drive the processes standardization and implementation of metrics and best practices from other sites.
- Under the guidance from the Managing Director and working with other members of the Westfall CI Team chartering new continuous improvement projects.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives, cycle times, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), scrap reduction, labor reduction, automation projects, system improvements.
- Fairly and consistently adhere to all Company and Plant procedures, work rules and guidelines.
- Work with Operations to build training content and organize training sessions as needed.
- Communicate methods, changes, scheduling, etc. as appropriate and required cross-functionally throughout the organization.
- May be required to support the operation outside of assigned shift hours or on weekends as needed.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Minimum Requirements And Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Training or Green Belt preferred. Prior experience in continuous improvement initiatives a plus.
- Must have technical skills in processing, Molding, automation and/or machines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization. Excellent communications skills – ability to communicate clearly and concisely in multiple media – verbal, written, etc.
- Excellent organizational/time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize work assignments in a fast-paced work environment, calm under pressure and flexibility to direct work force and adapt to changing schedules as appropriate.
- Strong computer skills a plus (IQMS and MS Office Suite).
- Knowledge of production operation, including equipment, materials, workflow, etc.
