As we continue to expand our project portfolio, we are seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to join our leadership team and drive the successful execution of contracts, site operations, procurement, and project controls.

Role Summary

This role is ideal for a seasoned Civil Engineer with hands-on experience across the full project life cycle—from tendering and BOQ development to site execution and supplier coordination. The successful candidate will take ownership of technical project oversight, resource planning, subcontractor management, and procurement strategy, ensuring that each project meets the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete execution of contracting projects in line with technical specifications, drawings, budgets, and timelines.
  • Prepare and evaluate Bills of Quantities (BOQs), tender documents, and pricing estimates.
  • Coordinate closely with consultants, clients, suppliers, and regulatory authorities throughout the project life cycle.
  • Manage construction site activities, resource scheduling, quality control, and reporting.
  • Supervise compliance with Dubai Municipality, DEWA, and other relevant authority procedures.
  • Review and interpret project documentation, drawings, and material specifications.

Procurement & Commercial Functions

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive procurement plan across all active projects, ensuring alignment with timeline and budget requirements.
  • Float inquiries, analyze supplier and subcontractor quotations, and prepare comparative analysis sheets for cost, delivery, and technical compliance.
  • Negotiate favorable contract terms, pricing, and schedules with suppliers and service providers.
  • Issue Letters of Intent, Awards, and Subcontract Agreements, ensuring alignment with commercial and legal standards.
  • Submit and follow up on technical submittals and approvals with consultants and clients.
  • Ensure timely collection of required insurance documents and performance bonds from subcontractors.
  • Continuously identify and onboard qualified suppliers and subcontractors, maintaining an up-to-date and rated vendor database.
  • Monitor market trends, and lead periodic performance reviews and procurement reports to inform sourcing strategy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the UAE construction and contracting sector.
  • Strong technical knowledge in project execution, BOQ development, and authority approvals.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (Primavera, MS Project), and working proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office Suite.
  • Valid UAE Driving License is preferred.

Desirable Competencies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
  • Exposure to mechanical engineering design, supervision, and BOQ/spec preparation is advantageous.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage dynamic project demands.
  • Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Professional demeanor with a strong sense of discretion and confidentiality in all responsibilities.

What We Offer

  • A senior role within a growing, progressive construction firm.
  • Competitive salary package based on qualifications and experience.
  • Employment visa and benefits as per UAE labor law.
  • A collaborative team environment with leadership visibility.
  • Career growth and influence over the company’s long-term contracting strategy.
