Role Overview

We are looking for a Simulation Software Engineer to join the team that produces models of on-board equipment for a military aircraft simulator.

Key Responsibilities

• Definition of system and software architecture;
• Software development using compiled and interpreted languages and web technologies;
• Development of graphical interfaces using web technologies;
• Design and development of architectures for distributed software systems (HLA, DIS);
• Software integration and testing at Customer sites in Italy and abroad;
• Participation in technical meetings in Italian and English.
  
  
  

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Knowledge of Windows and Unix based OS;
• Knowledge of the main compiled programming languages (C, C++, C#);
• Knowledge of the main interpreted programming languages (Python, Javascript, Typescript);
• Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, XML);
• Knowledge of configuration control and versioning tools (SVN, GIT).
  
  
  

Optional Technical Skills

• Knowledge of 3D modelling tools (Blender, Maya, 3DS);
• Knowledge of distributed architectures (PC networks, distributed shared memory, HLA, DIS, etc.);
• Knowledge of HW platforms for managing video/audio signals (Graphic cards, streamers, video overlayers, switching matrix, extenders, etc.);
• Knowledge of analogue and digital video signals;
• Knowledge of frameworks and toolkits for managing video signals (Gstreamer, FFMPEG, etc.);
• Knowledge of avionics architectures and standards (MILBUS-1553, MILBUS-1760, ARINC429, ARINC610B, ARINC424).
  
  
  

Education: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering or Electronic Engineering.
