Summary

* Works collaboratively with the Simulation faculty and staff to prepare for the simulated learning scenarios and equipment for all applicable courses within the College of Health Professions. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the preparation of medical supplies, application of moulage, and the operation and programming of simulation and medical equipment. The individual will support the faculty and staff, ensuring efficient use of all simulation facilities, consumables, and equipment. * Responsible for the management and coordination of the Standardized Participant (SP) program at TU with approval and oversight from the Director of Simulation. This includes scheduling, contracts, training, staging and moulage based upon faculty requests for individual simulation scenarios, and to follow-up with the SPs regarding job duties and responsibilities, payment, schedules, parking, etc. * Coordinate the procurement, distribution and tracking of consumable supplies and DME for simulations and clinical education. Maintain inventory levels in SimCapture Enterprise System. Collaborate with the office of procurement on contracted services such as linen cleaning, sharps disposal, and other contracts as required. Maintain relationships with suppliers while continually scouting for additional vendors. Responsible for efficient flow of goods and services affecting simulation and clinical education. * Compiling and analyzing data into SimCapture Enterprise system to compile reports, conduct analysis of supply utilization and procurement and establishing proposals to leadership for evaluation of cost and use case objectives. * Additional duties may include electronic filing and maintenance of electronic documents relating to simulation operations, staffing, and scheduling. Support after hours simulations when requested and/or needed. * In collaboration with the Faculty Simulation Coordinators, the Simulation Technologist, and the Director of Simulation and Clinical Education Technologies, the responsibility includes continuous assessment of the facilities to maintain the most current healthcare trends reflecting acute patient care environments. Coordinate the scheduling of training on new equipment, technology, and materials for faculty/staff and provide technical support for the simulation technology. * Other duties as assigned to support units across College, especially when the student simulation flow is reduced. Required: * Bachelor's Degree and two years of work experience in a simulation lab, medical/healthcare, laboratory or similar setting. * Excellent communication skills. * Knowledge of Microsoft applications and sufficient level of expertise involving technology to use software-based inventory system and troubleshoot classroom technology used in simulation. * Ability to manage multiple pressing priorities and tasks, triage the importance and follow up with internal and external stakeholders through closure. * Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, and knowledge to project a professional and positive image of the institution. * Ability to interact with a diverse team and in a diverse environment. Preferred: * Experience working in simulation lab is preferred but not required. * Experience working with supply management/inventories. * The ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems with computers and audiovisual components.
