The Railway Signaling Lead Engineer will lead the planning, design, installation, testing, and commissioning of railway signaling systems. This role involves ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications while managing timelines, budgets, and stakeholder coordination. The Lead Engineer will play a critical role in delivering reliable and innovative signaling solutions for railway networks.

Responsible for:
1- System Design and Development:
- Lead the design and development of railway signaling systems, including interlocking, train detection, and control systems.
- Ensure designs meet operational requirements, safety standards (e.g., SIL -Safety Integrity Level), and regulatory guidelines.
- Review and approve technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
2- Project Management:
- Oversee signaling projects from concept to completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other engineering disciplines (e.g., civil, electrical, track).
- Prepare and manage project documentation, including risk assessments and progress reports.
3- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor a team of signaling engineers and technicians.
- Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and provide technical guidance.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance team skills and ensure adherence to best practices.
4- Testing and Commissioning:
- Plan and execute testing and commissioning activities for signaling systems.
- Validate system performance and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
5- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all signaling systems adhere to national and international railway standards (e.g., CENELEC, or local equivalents).
- Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Stay updated on advancements in signaling technology and regulatory changes.
6- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Liaise with clients, railway operators, and regulatory bodies to align project deliverables with expectations.
- Provide technical expertise during consultations and project reviews
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Years of experience: Minimum 5 years
- Proficiency in signaling principles (e.g., interlocking, ATP, ETCS).• Familiarity with CAD software, and railway-specific tools (e.g., Relay & Circuit design).
- Knowledge of railway communication systems and protocols
-Office-based with frequent site visits to railway locations.
-May require working outside regular hours during testing, commissioning, or emergency situations.
-Travel to project sites or client meetings as needed.
