Qualifications
List experience on application that is relevant to this position. Previous experience working with groups of students; experience interpreting in the classroom and/or for the deaf community.
Materials Required/Requirements
Must pre-qualify by attaching: (Both A & B items)
A. Valid certification provided by the national Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or equivalent, or score 4.0 or higher on a state-approved evaluation examination (i.e. EIPA, ESSE-I/R, or NAD/ACCI)
AND
B. One Documentation From The Following List
- A passing score from SJUSD's Proficiency Exam - testing date must be April 2005 to current. No other school districts proficiency exam accepted. OR
- Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)
OR
- OFFICIAL transcripts (unofficial not acceptable) demonstrating the completion of two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units)***
OR
- 4. Proof of an A.A. degree (or higher)***.
***If your degree/transcripts are from a foreign college or university, YOU MUST have coursework evaluated for its equivalency to a degree/transcripts received from an accredited United States college or university.
Valid California Class C driver’s license issued by the California Department of Motor Vehicles within 30 days of hire or before driving any vehicle requiring this license.
