As a driver, you will play a crucial role in providing a free, city-funded, on-demand electric shuttle service in The Heights. LEARN MORE HERE: https://www.ridemetro.org/riding-metro/transit-services/community-connector Responsibilities: Safely operate RYDE electric shuttles and transport passengers within designated routes in The Heights using our on-demand app. Provide excellent customer service to passengers, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience. This includes great customer service and SAFE driving. Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the shuttle. Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while operating the shuttle. Collaborate with fellow drivers to ensure efficient service delivery. Assist passengers, including those with disabilities or special needs, in boarding and disembarking the shuttle. The Heights: Service Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm Shift Hours: Mon - Fri: 6:30am - 3:30pm or 8:30 to 5:30pm - 1 Hour Off The Clock Lunch Break. Part Time and Full Time Available. Part Time or Full Time Requirements: Between the age of 23 and 45 years old (Insurance Requirement) MUST BE PUNCTUAL AND DEPENDABLE. (We do not tolerate tardiness and call ins) Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. City of Houston Chauffeur's Permit or Willingness to Obtain One. Previous experience in driving passenger vehicles (e.g., taxis, shuttles, ride-share services) is preferred but not required. Valet Drivers/ Customer Service Specialist are highly encouraged to apply. Familiarity with the communities we service and its transportation needs is a plus.
