Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Shopify Developer with 4-5 years of comprehensive experience in developing, optimizing, and maintaining Shopify stores.

This role requires a deep understanding of both frontend and backend aspects of the Shopify platform. The ideal candidate will be proficient in customizing Shopify functionalities, integrating payment gateways, and deploying third-party plugins to enhance user experiences and streamline operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and manage comprehensive Shopify stores that meet business requirements.
• Implement robust front-end designs and functionalities using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Build and maintain scalable backend solutions on Shopify, including application integrations and API connections.
• Create bespoke Shopify themes and change pre-existing templates per pre-defined brand guidelines.
• Expertly handle Shopify Payments setup, configuration, and optimization to ensure seamless payment transactions.
• Integrate multiple payment gateways and ensure compliance with financial and data security regulations.
• Develop and implement third-party Shopify plugins and ensure compatibility with existing systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement marketplace integrations that expand business reach and functionality.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure optimal functionality and user experience.
  
  

Relevant Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 4-5 years of professional experience in Shopify platform development, including significant exposure to both frontend and backend aspects.
• Profound knowledge of Shopify's architecture, including Liquid templating, Shopify APIs, Admin Functions and its customization capabilities.
• Strong experience with Shopify Payments and various payment gateways integration.
• Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ES2015/ES6 and responsive design practices.
• Experienced in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive unit tests for the developed functionality.
• Experienced with third-party Shopify plugins and marketplace integrations.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
