Description:
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Shipping & Receiving Manager, the Shipping & Receiving Lead is responsible for assisting with forklift operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Assists the Shipping & Receiving Manager with inventory in the facility regarding specific customers.
Check emails/ communicate with supervisor of any changes or to do list for the day or week.
Collaborates with Quality Assurance to ensure paperwork is ready for drivers.
Updates the outbound calendar.
Confirm and assist with schedule for the week (inbounds and outbound) working with OPENDOCK, making sure software is updated.
Works with the forklift drivers to enforce safety protocols.
Assists with training and development of the shipping & receiving team.
Assists with checks on forklifts and creates work orders for maintenance purposes.
Coordinates pallet, garbage, and cardboard pickup/drop-offs.
Answers the phone to manage customer inquiries, concerns, or for scheduling purposes.
Follow SOPs regarding trailer temps, place airlock, seals, Bills of Lading, and trailer and product conditions.
Assigns loads to various pallets.
Records and corrects on shipping and receiving logs.
Works with operations to ensure products are in the appropriate locations for production/assembly.
Follow forklift safety protocol.
Works as a team player to ensure APC is meeting the business demands of our customers.
Other duties as assigned by APC.
BILINGUAL Spanish / English preferred.
Understand and be able to work in Sage to help or train others if needed.
Requirements:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Vocational or Technical Degree preferred.
Experience:
Experience working in an industrial environment.
Forklift Driving experience
MS Office
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Work independently or on a team.
Effectively use RF Technology and utilize computer systems.
Good communication,time management skills and the ability to multitask.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and forklifts. The environment is ventilated, air conditioned, damp, and with vibrations. The ground can be uneven. The employee will rarely be exposed to fumes/gases and/or chemicals. The environment can be dusty and heated. Employees are required to wear the following protective equipment: hard hat, hair and/or beard net, steel toed boots (or equivalent), eye wear, cut gloves, and fall protection hear when necessary. Hearing protection is optional. The employee is performing the job indoors 95% of the time and 5% outdoors.
