We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Duct Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in fabricating and assembling HVAC duct systems, with a strong understanding of sheet metal work, tools, and techniques. You will be responsible for producing high-quality ductwork for commercial projects while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Fabricate and assemble sheet metal ductwork for HVAC systems, ensuring precision and quality
Use hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal machinery (such as shears, brakes, and rolls) to cut, bend, and shape metal sheets
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to ensure accurate fabrication of ducts
Measure, cut, and fit metal sheets to the required dimensions
Ensure all ducts meet industry standards, building codes, and project specifications
Perform regular maintenance and inspection of fabrication equipment to ensure proper functionality
Collaborate with other team members ensure efficient project completion
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times
Requirements:
Minimum of [2-3] years of experience in sheet metal duct fabrication
Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings
Familiarity with various sheet metal tools and machinery, including brakes, shears, lockformers, spot welders, roll formers, spiral machines, gore lock machine, etc.
Strong knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in a fabrication environment
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding conditions
Knowledge of HVAC systems and installation is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with custom ductwork fabrication for complex projects
Familiarity with CAMduct would be a plus
