Summary

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain SharePoint application and web front end servers to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Unique permissions and inherited permissions.
  • Navigating and utilizing the SharePoint Admin Center for site management and configuration.
  • Creation of groups and custom permissions.
  • Identifying and resolving common SharePoint problems.
  • Understanding the integration and functionality of Teams and communication sites within SharePoint.
  • Managing sharing settings and access policies to ensure data security.
  • Configuring various settings to optimize SharePoint performance and usability.
  • Generating and analyzing reports to monitor SharePoint usage and performance.
  • Proficiency in using PowerShell scripts for SharePoint administration and automation.
  • Creating and managing workflows using Power Automate to automate business processes.
  • Managing lists and libraries to organize and store information effectively.
  • Search Service Application: Configuring and managing search functionalities.
  • Term Store: Managing metadata and taxonomy.
  • Components of Search Service: Understanding the various components involved in the search service.
  • User Profile Service Application: Managing user profiles and social features.
  • Metadata Service Application: Configuring and using metadata services for better data organization.
  • Monitor and manage storage quotas for SharePoint sites to ensure efficient use of resources and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Perform IIS resets using the command iisreset /restart to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to web services.
  • Regularly check and analyze logs using Event Viewer and other monitoring tools to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Manage and update configuration files, such as web.config, located in the root directory of web applications or specific application directories.
  • Configure and manage application pools in IIS to ensure isolation, security, and reliability of web applications.
  • Monitor and review audit logs to track user activities and ensure compliance with security policies.
  • Conduct regular health checks of SharePoint servers using Central Administration and other monitoring tools to maintain system integrity and performance.
