Overview
The SharePoint Developer will both support the day to day Developer/Administrator functions of the SharePoint environment and development of solutions to support the growing business needs of the enterprise. This individual will apply proven communication skills and problem-solving skills, collaborate with various teams within the business, and demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of best practices within the application and enterprise environment.
Responsibilities
Gathers requirements and document functional and technical design requirements related to all SharePoint Projects
Plans, developments, and tracks action plans for SharePoint improvements and enhancements, including improvements to branded sites
Supports and trains end users with access and use issues
Configures and deploys out-of-box SharePoint standard apps, custom lists, document and content types, workflows
Creates, archives and reports on sites and usage within the web applications
Integrates and redevelops existing processes into SharePoint to improve organizational efficiency
Reports SOC2 related information to the Change Management Team
Develops projects as assigned
Plans and monitors, including recommends implementing policies and procedures to successfully maintain the security and viability of SharePoint content and artifacts
Supports and knowledge transfer of CONNECT branding to Site and Content Owners
Supports and knowledge transfer of SharePoint architecture and administration to other IT Business Applications Team Members
Documents web application and site collection organization and site hierarchy
Collaborates with other developers, as required, for software integration
Executes maintenance and content scripts in PowerShell
Assists SharePoint Architect with disaster recovery, availability, and/or system recovery plans and testing
Collaborates with SharePoint Architect on server health, farm administration, and other deployment of custom solutions to support the enterprise
Performs other duties as predicated by company needs
Additional Specific Duties And Responsibilities
On an annual basis the SharePoint Developer will complete role specific training, certifications, or attend industry events as assigned by the manager
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in IT or related field
4 or more years’ experience in SharePoint support
Proven experience with Microsoft SharePoint 2013 Enterprise Edition
2 or more years’ experience with MS Visual Studio 2010 or higher
2or more years’ experience with MS SQL Server 2008 R2 or higher
Proficient in Microsoft Office, and capacity to integrate with SharePoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge and understanding of Active Directory, SharePoint security, and software and web development languages
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of the enterprise’s organizational structure
Understanding of disaster recovery and business continuity procedures
User experience and design experience is preferred, especially work with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and responsive design
Experience communicating with multiple business units
