Summary

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled SharePoint Developer to design, develop, and maintain SharePoint-based solutions to support operational efficiency, document management, and compliance across our network of nursing home facilities. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical expertise and a clear understanding of healthcare regulations, internal workflows, and the need for secure, user-friendly collaboration tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and customize SharePoint Online solutions, including web parts, workflows, forms, and intranet portals.
  • Work closely with nursing home administrators, compliance officers, and department heads to gather requirements and implement document libraries, lists, dashboards, and automated workflows that support healthcare operations.
  • Migrate and organize legacy content into modern SharePoint structures, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.
  • Implement secure user access controls and permissions based on organizational roles and responsibilities.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot SharePoint environments, including integrations with Microsoft 365 (Teams, OneDrive, Power Automate, PowerApps).
  • Create training documentation and conduct user training sessions to support system adoption and efficient use of tools.
  • Support electronic health record (EHR)-related documentation storage and internal communication systems across facilities.
  • Monitor and enforce metadata tagging, version control, and records retention policies.
  • Provide technical support and respond to end-user issues and enhancement requests.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing and managing SharePoint Online solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite, including Power Automate, PowerApps, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint Designer, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and REST APIs.
  • Experience implementing document management systems with attention to privacy and security, particularly HIPAA or healthcare-related standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Experience in the long-term care or healthcare sector.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and healthcare workflow integrations.
  • Microsoft certifications related to SharePoint or Power Platform.

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid work options available.
  • Occasional travel to nursing home facilities for discovery, training, and support (if applicable).
  • Must be able to work in a deadline-driven, highly regulated environment.
