SharePoint / Teams Architect

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement enterprise-level SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Microsoft 365 collaboration technologies, including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Power Platform.
• Define architecture, governance, and lifecycle policies for Teams and SharePoint sites (e.g., provisioning, retention, naming conventions).
• Develop solutions for document management, intranet portals, team collaboration, and workflow automation.
• Integrate SharePoint and Teams with other Microsoft 365 and third-party applications as needed.
• Lead migration efforts from legacy systems to SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams.
• Provide strategic direction and guidance on best practices for end-user adoption and change management.
• Collaborate with security, compliance, and infrastructure teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
• Mentor technical staff and support teams, and provide documentation, training, and support as needed.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of experience in architecting and deploying SharePoint solutions, including SharePoint Online.
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Teams architecture, configuration, and lifecycle management.
• Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 services, Azure AD, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Graph.
• Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, and scripting (PowerShell).
• Strong knowledge of information architecture, taxonomy, and governance principles.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills.
