Summary
Chamberlain Advisors is seeking a SharePoint Administrator for a short-term contract engagement supporting a critical internal project. This role is ideal for a SharePoint expert with experience in SharePoint migrations, advanced SharePoint administration, and SharePoint Online PowerShell scripting. You’ll play a key role in helping implement the company’s SharePoint Advanced Management environment and support the pilot phase of Copilot for M365, with a focus on data classifications and access controls.
You’ll report directly to the hiring manager and collaborate closely with engineers to identify and automate manual tasks, freeing up the team to focus on more strategic engineering initiatives. What You’ll Be Accountable For
- Manage and execute SharePoint migrations, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal downtime
- Perform advanced SharePoint administration including site creation, configuration, and maintenance
- Use SharePoint Online PowerShell to automate and manage SharePoint environments
- Administer and integrate with Azure Entra / Active Directory (AD)
- Design and develop SharePoint front-end site interfaces in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Provide troubleshooting and support for SharePoint-related issues
- Stay up to date on SharePoint and Microsoft Viva services and recommend best practices
- Support automation platform development to eliminate repetitive team actions
- Engage with engineers to gather tasks and translate them into automations
What Qualifications You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, IS, Computer Science, or related, or 5 years experience in an IT related position.
- 5+ years of experience in SharePoint administration, development, or related IT roles
- Proven experience with SharePoint migrations
- Strong SharePoint administration skills and understanding of site architecture
- Proficiency in SharePoint Online PowerShell automation
- Knowledge of Azure Entra / Active Directory
- Experience with SharePoint site front-end development and design
- Familiarity with Microsoft Viva services
- Experience using or supporting Microsoft 365 collaboration tools (Teams, PowerApps, etc.)
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Flexible and able to work independently
