Position Summary:
Olympus Group is seeking a Sewing Production Manager to oversee the productivity, quality, and safety of our sewing department. This leadership role will manage a team, ensuring efficient operations and the timely delivery of sewn products. This is also a working manager position.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the recruitment, hiring, and training of sewing department staff
Analyze annual sales forecasts to determine staffing needs
Oversee and manage the sewing production schedule and job operations
Ensure employee training and skill development are current and effective
Monitor and improve department metrics including productivity, efficiency, and utilization
Enforce and improve safe work practices; identify and eliminate safety risks
Maintain and manage inventory levels and production supplies
Coordinate with Sales and Production teams to meet shipping deadlines
Collaborate with other Olympus locations to develop and standardize best practices
Research and implement new technologies and techniques for continuous improvement
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum 3 years of relevant management experience in a production environment
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Familiarity with ERP systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities
Willingness to travel occasionally and work flexible hours when required
Bilingual (English / Spanish) highly preferred

This role may require standing, walking, and occasional stair climbing throughout the day
