Position Summary:

Olympus Group is seeking a Sewing Production Manager to oversee the productivity, quality, and safety of our sewing department. This leadership role will manage a team, ensuring efficient operations and the timely delivery of sewn products. This is also a working manager position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the recruitment, hiring, and training of sewing department staff
• Analyze annual sales forecasts to determine staffing needs
• Oversee and manage the sewing production schedule and job operations
• Ensure employee training and skill development are current and effective
• Monitor and improve department metrics including productivity, efficiency, and utilization
• Enforce and improve safe work practices; identify and eliminate safety risks
• Maintain and manage inventory levels and production supplies
• Coordinate with Sales and Production teams to meet shipping deadlines
• Collaborate with other Olympus locations to develop and standardize best practices
• Research and implement new technologies and techniques for continuous improvement
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum 3 years of relevant management experience in a production environment
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Familiarity with ERP systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work flexible hours when required
• Bilingual (English / Spanish) highly preferred
