The ServiceNow Developer will design, develop, implement, and maintain solutions within the ServiceNow platform. This role requires a deep understanding of ServiceNow best practices, configuration, and customization capabilities to meet business needs effectively. The ServiceNow Developer will work under direction from the ServiceNow Platform Architect to collaborate with stakeholder’s business requirements, develop design specifications, and deliver engineered ServiceNow solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Design, develop, test, and implement new ServiceNow applications, modules, workflows, and catalog items.
  • Customize and configure ServiceNow modules including Incident Management, Change Management, Service Catalog, and Asset Management to meet business requirements.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with other third-party systems and applications using REST, SOAP, and other web service technologies.
  • Develop and maintain ServiceNow reports, dashboards, and analytics to provide insights into system performance and user behavior.
  • Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of ServiceNow instances, ensuring system stability and availability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of ServiceNow solutions with overall IT and business objectives.
  • Stay updated with ServiceNow releases, new features, and industry best practices to continuously improve system capabilities and performance.
  • Document technical designs, configurations, and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure system scalability and maintainability.
  • Contribute to the ServiceNow community through knowledge sharing, participation in forums, and mentoring junior developers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum 4 years of development experience using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and coding frameworks like React and AngularJS.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working as a ServiceNow Developer, with hands-on experience in ServiceNow platform configuration, development, and administration.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting languages including Glide.
  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow architecture, data schemas, and components such as Service Catalog, Workflows, Business Rules, UI Policies, Server and Client Scripts.
  • Experience with ServiceNow integrations using web services (REST, SOAP), MID Server, and other integration methods.
  • Experience with Agile development and test management.
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification preferred.
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in one of the following ITSM, SAM, HAM, HR, LSD or GRC preferred.

  • Knowledge of ITIL best practices and experience implementing ITSM processes in ServiceNow (e.g., Incident, Problem, Change, and Configuration Management).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of business processes, IT systems, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present technical solutions simply and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated project management and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.

Pay Range

$92,003.00 - $129,954.50 Annual

RTD posts a compensation range that represents a good faith estimate of what RTD anticipates paying for the position at the time of posting.
