ABOUT THE ROLE
Guided by department objectives and priorities, responsible for the administration, development, documentation and technical support of applications as assigned. Partners with IT, administrative departments, business owners, subject matter experts, and vendors to develop and deploy applications that automate and audit business processes. Ensures client service and satisfaction are attained in all areas of the position.
Application Development and Support
- Implement, document, support and maintain ServiceNow applications firm-wide. Maintain knowledge of departmental service offerings and business requirements to ensure solutions efficiently and effectively meet business needs.
- Maintain the ServiceNow infrastructure, including mid servers. Build servers and install software/upgrades, as necessary. Regularly patch and remediate vulnerabilities on in-house servers.
- Test, analyze, collaborate and assist with translating business requirements into technical requirements to ensure a smooth implementation of new enhancements, applications or modules.
- Utilize Java Scripting, HTML, CSS, and PowerShell to deliver solutions that automate and audit business processes.
- Utilize best practices for development, conduct thorough testing, analysis, and certification of changes to ServiceNow applications. Complete assigned project tasks on schedule.
- Adhere to departmental change management policies and procedures, i.e., thorough testing of changes, new applications and instance upgrades in a non-production environment prior to being released in the production environment.
- Assist in maintaining the overall health of the ServiceNow platform, including optimizing system performance and adherence to best practices.
- Participate in certifying all applications for use after a ServiceNow upgrade completes.
- Participate in Problem Management and Knowledge initiatives and other process improvements.
- Provide technical support to IT and administrative departments. Escalate performance issues, unresolvable incidents and service interruptions to ServiceNow technical support. Keep IT and administrative departments informed of system status and availability.
- Reachable via the firm provided phone outside of standard working hours, as needed, to resolve critical ServiceNow application issue.
- Consistently promote and model the Firm's Client Service Principles in leadership, teamwork, work product, and personal interaction.
- Ensure compliance with the Firm's Information Handling Policy, including safeguarding confidential and personal information, and reporting any suspected breach appropriately and immediately.
- Adhere to the Firm's General Safety Practices and any unique safety practices for department and building.
ABOUT YOU
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field and / or 5+ years of experience with IT Service Management tools & 3+ years of experience with life-cycle development on ServiceNow or a similar platform.
- Strong knowledge of Web Service Integration (Java Scripting, XML, HTML, AJAX), SaaS applications and SOAP Web Service integrations. Experience with Microsoft technologies including Windows OS (client and server), LDAP/Active Directory, Powershell, SQL Server and relational database technology.
- Solid understanding of the application development life-cycle process, including requirement gathering and analysis, design, coding, testing, quality assurance, implementation, issue tracking, version control, deployment and project management.
- Knowledge of ITIL v3 methodologies, ITSM concepts, and enterprise IT architecture. ITIL certifications a plus.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Highly skilled and proficient in using development tools with the analytical and problem-solving skills necessary to troubleshoot and provide user support.
- Experience developing and driving organizational change initiatives in a technical environment.
- Talent for creating client satisfaction; demonstrated ability to focus on the client value in all work.
- High client service ethic and a proven record in delivering exemplary client satisfaction to external and internal client constituencies.
- Excellent writing skills; ability to present complex ideas succinctly and clearly.

- Ability to partner with internal IT resources and Firm business process owners to deliver high quality work product.

- Flexibility regarding work schedule to meet position needs outside of regular business hours.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines under sometimes stressful conditions.

Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus, overtime as applicable, health/welfare benefits, retirement contributions, paid holidays, and PTO. The range displayed is specifically for positions performed in those cities/states and may vary based on factors including but not limited to the following: local market data and ranges; an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience; and certain degrees, licensing, and certifications. New York, San Francisco, Palo Alto salary range: $100k to $148k
Los Angeles, San Diego, Boston, Washington, D.C. salary range: $92k to $138k
Denver salary range: $87k to $130k
