A position is currently available for a Service Operations Manager in our Technical Service Department. This position will manage the Technical Services Department for operating costs, revenue, growth and established business processes to meet or exceed operational goals and objectives. Services include but are not limited to: on-site repair and installation of customer equipment and systems, repair and maintenance of CHL owned equipment and infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining the project schedule and adjusting departmental activities, as needed, to achieve project milestones.
Oversee relationships and agreements with subcontractors and ensure subcontractors are satisfying commitments.
Maintain customer business relationships by ensuring customer satisfaction levels are met or exceeded.
Identify and resolve customer issues with input from Service Technicians and management.
Identify and resolve internal issues with input from maintenance, facility and vehicle staff and management.
Ensure proper management of infrastructure and capital projects.
Measure, maintain, and report Key Performance Metrics (KPIs) for the department related to service order lead time, on-time delivery, productivity measures, and others as required.
Implement long-term corporate goals under the direction of the General Manager.
Maintain project status updates.
Attend sales, project and production meetings to develop strategies and action plans that contribute to the overall success and profitability of the business.
Ensure workforce properly maintains vehicles and company assets.
Adhere to ISO developed procedures by taking ownership of department procedures and work instructions and improve, create of modify them as necessary.
Manage the recruitment, management, development and evaluation of department staff.
Establish performance requirements for staff and metrics for department performance.
Initiate plans to motivate personnel to achieve department goals.
Contribute to building a positive team spirit by recognizing the accomplishments of other team members and building group morale.
Conduct safety meetings, accident investigations, safety observations, and recommend safety initiatives to meet corporate safety goals.
Travel up to 25% to customer sites.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field
Minimum of 10 years experience in a management or supervisory role in a manufacturing or service environment; field service leadership preferred.
5+ years experience in a hands-on mechanical/technical industry
Proven ability to lead others with a solid business and technical skill set
Exceptional problem-solving and customer satisfaction skills
Ability to read Engineering drawings
Ability to interact effectively with service personnel, vendors, and internal departments in a professional manner
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficient with MS Office Applications
Valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements:
Work is performed in an office environment, with regular exposure to mechanical moving parts in Manufacturing environments.
Schedule and Hours: 40+ hours per week Monday-Friday with weekend work as required.
