About The Role
The Service Manager (SM) /Technical Product Owner (TPO) contributes to development and maintenance of several products in our portfolio. He or she is responsible for the stability of the platform, collecting and analyzing business requirements and maintaining technical and functional documentation. The SM/ TPO participates to backlog refinement and long term planning and makes sure the development items are delivered in time according to business priorities. The SM/ TPO works in close collaboration with stakeholders inside and outside Sanoma Learning. He or she resolves complex queries together with Technical Support, Customer Service and (external) development teams or suppliers. This role reports to the Regional Technology manager.
Key Job Responsibilities
As a Service Manager (SM) /Technical Product Owner (TPO), you
- Are responsible for managing our AWS and Azure environments and the platforms running on them.
- Evaluate costs and identify opportunities to improve.
- Manage high impact incidents.
- Contribute to Regional infosec governance.
- Plan releases to keep up with project schedule.
- Review the backlog of maintenance work and reprioritize when needed.
- Identify and manage risks related to the product.
- Analyse and document processes and describe required changes to identify the possible gap and change required.
- Collect business requirements using variety of methods to express the needs of different user roles.
- Manage requirements to make sure the requirements are valid and can be met.
- Contribute to business cases by assessing feasibility and relevance of proposed initiatives.
- Draft and maintain technical and functional documentation.
- Contribute and maintain a product roadmap together with business stakeholders.
- Identify contract requirements and write specifications for new / existing contracts.
- Own the contracts and manage day-to-day relationship with contract service providers.
- Resolve queries from internal customers or suppliers by providing information on processes and policies.
Job Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years work experience as System Analyst, Service Manager or in a comparable role.
- Knowledge on AWS and Azure platforms.
- Basic technical skills.
- Basic knowledge about ITSM.
- Broad knowledge of business processes and technology/solutions supporting them.
- Strong understanding and working experience with Agile approach and culture.
- Experienced working in an international environment. Ability to work with multiple geographies in a multicultural environment.
